Beginning in 2014, graduates of Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-approved surgical oncology fellowships who pass the appropriate qualifying and certifying exams will achieve certification in Complex General Surgical Oncology by the American Board of Surgery (ABS).4 This is an exciting and historic achievement.
